        نقلا عن مقال بعُنوان ـ( الشّاعرُ الذي طمع في النّبوّة )ـ للأستاذ ابن ذياب أحمد , والذي نشرته مجلّة الشّهاب في جُزئها السّادس من المُجلّد الخامس عشر الصّادر غُرّة جُمادى الثانيّة 1358 هجريّة المُوافق لـ 18 جويلية 1939 للميلاد :

        << كثيرا من رجالات العرب أدركوا أنّ النّبيّ صادق , وأنّ الحقّ في جانبه وأنّ ما دعا إليه من عند الله , ولكنّهم لم يُؤمنوا حسدا وكبرياء وأسفا وحسرة على الذي فاتهم من نُزُول الوحي وعدمُ وُقوع اختيار البعث عليهم وما أمرُ الوليد بنُ المُغيرة وجماعتُه الذين قالوا : (<< لولا نُزّل هذا القرآن على رجُل من القريتين عظيم >>)([1]) يعازب عن أذهاننا , وأشباهُ الوليد من أعداء الإسلام كثير لا يُحصيهم عدّ >> .
