نقلا عن مقال بعنوان ـ( العرب في القرآن )ـ ألقاه الأستاذ العلاّمة عبد الحميد بن باديس في أحد الاجتماعات العامّة لجمعيّة العلماء , والذي نشرته مجلّة الشّهاب في جُزئها الأوّل من المجلّد الخامس عشر , الصّادر يوم الثلاثاء غُرّة محرّم 1358 هجريّة الموافق ل 21 فيفري 1939 للميلاد :

<< الجاهل يُمكن أن تُعلّمه والجافي يُمكن أن تُهذبه , ولكن الذليل الذي نشأ على الذل يعسر أو يتعذر أن تغرس في نفسه الذليلة المهينة عزّة وإباء وشهامة تُلحقه بالرّجال >> .
