نقلا عن مقال بعُنوان ـ( إلى زيارة سيدي عابد )ـ , للأستاذ العلاّمة محمّد السّعيد الزّاهري , والذي نشرته جريدة الصّراط السّويّ في عددها الثامن الصّادر يوم الاثنين 18 رجب 1352 المُوافق لـ 6 نُوفمبر 1933 للميلاد :

<< وسيّدتنا فاطمة الزّهراء البتول كانت لوعتها وفجعتها بوفاة أبيها أشدّ مُصابا وأعظم رزءا ممّا يصف الواصفون , ولقد أقامت على تُربته الطّيبة الزّكيّة ستّة أشهر كاملة وهي تبكي وتقول :

ماذا على من شمّ تُربة أحمد *** أن لا يشُمّ مدى الزّمان غواليا

صبّت عليّ مصائب لو أنّها *** صُبّت على الأيّام عُدن لياليا
