نقلا عن مقال بعُنوان ـ( جمعيّة العلماء المُسلمين )ـ لمُحرّري جريدة الصّراط السّويّ , والذي نشرته الجريدة في عددها السّادس الصّادر يوم الاثنين 4 رجب 1352 هجريّة المُوافق لـ 23 أكتوبر 1933 للميلاد :

<< للغرب الإفريقي ابن عالم بار نسله بنو هلال وأنجبه المغرب الأقصى , هو العلاّمة الأستاذ محمّد تقيّ الدّين الهلالي المدرّس بالهند , لهذا الأستاذ شُهرة علميّة إصلاحيّة عظيمة بالشّرق ومقالات رنّانة في صُحفه وهو ــ على بُعده عن الغرب الإفريقي لا يفتر عن العناية به والتّتبع لأحواله والكتابة عنه >> .
