نقلا عن مقال بعُنوان ـ( وهّابيّ )ـ للعلاّمة أبو يعلى الزّواوي , والذي نشرته جريدة الصّراط السّويّ في عددها السّادس الصّادر يوم الاثنين 4 رجب 1352 هجريّة المُوافق لـ 23 أكتوبر 1933 للميلاد :
<< إخواننا الحنابلة الذين يُدعَون بل يُنبزون بالوهّابيين منذ قيام العلاّمة المرحوم الشّيخ محمّد بن عبد الوهّاب القائم بدعوة الإصلاح والدّعاء إلى الكتاب والسّنّة كما جاء عن الله وعن الرّسول والرّجوع إلى ذلك , وطرح ما أحدث المُبتدعة المسمّمين ــ باسم المفعول ــ بالباطنيّة المدسوسة والموروثة منذ القرن الرّابع عند قيام الدّولة الفاطميّة من مغربنا هذا بجحافلها واحتلّت القاهرة وسمّمت الأمّة كافّة وبعض العلماء خاصّة كمُحي الدّين بن العربي وابن الفارض والنّجم الإسرائيلي وابن سبعين وابن سينا الذين أحدثوا قولة القُطب والغوث والأبدال والسّبعة والسّبعين والأربعة والأربعين إلى غير ذلك ممّا أبطله العلم الصّحيح ولم يعترف به كالدّيوان وتصرّف الأموات وبناء القبور وزخرفتها وإعلاء القبب والطّواف بها >> .
