نقلا عن مقال بعُنوان ـ( بيان وتذكير )ـ ممّا قرّره مجلس إدارة جمعيّة العلماء في أحد اجتماعاته , والذي نشرته جريدة الصّراط السّويّ في عددها الحادي عشر الصّادر يوم الاثنين 9 شعبان 1352 هجريّة المُوافق ل 27 نوفمبر 1933 للميلاد :
<< جمعيّة العلماء المُسلمين الجزائريين عاهدت الله ــ مُستعينة به وحده ــ على أن تُعالج المُسلم الجزائري من هذه الأمراض وأن تعمل لما يرفع شأنه من ناحية دينه بتطهير عقيدته أوّلاّ , وأحكام عبادته ثانيّا , وتصحيح مُعاملته ثالثا وتقويم أخلاقه رابعا , ــ مُسترشدة في ذلك كلّه بما أرشد إليه كتاب الله وسُنّة نبيّه الصّحيحة وسيرة السّلف الصّالح من هذه الأمّة وفُهوم الأئمّة العلماء منها جاريّة على منهاج القُرآن في الدّعوة إلى سبيل الله بالحُسنى عالمة أنّها إذ تدعو إنّما تدعو المُسلم المُنحرف عن الجادّة إلى الرّجوع إليها والاستقامة عليها , وتدعو إلى حقّ أضاعه أهله وتدلّهم على وسائل استرجاعه , وتدعو إلى قديم من الدّين أساسه الوحي الصّادق والرّأي المعصوم لا إلى جديد من مُحدثات الآراء ومُضلاّت الأهواء >> .
